This is one game that, uniquely, has a very solid foundation of nerds that are most likely simply enamored with boats and boat-related activities.
STEAMCHARTS BLACKWAKE FULL
Shit, when steamcharts had about 150 unique players per day or something, I STILL managed to avoid any large inconvenience and played on a full server on most days- even weird-ass times. However, the actual user experience does not at all line up with what they have in mind. For games beside Blackwake, this may be a good indicator of life-support and soon death for the game. I've seen several folk on the steam discussions and elsewhere saying GAME IS DED based upon an arbitrary metric of their own desire- they compare this game to, I don't know, Insurgency or Holdfast or something else. Sounds like burning money to me.I would confidently posit that the individuals who are in the habit of faithfully checking steamcharts stats in order to make a decision of game purchase would not be likely "convinced" by the introduction of bots. I think I will stay away from the game entirely no matter what, especially if the "only way to go" for the game is to add bots because nobody wants to play it.

If squad lost most of it's players would adding bots be the solution to "keep the game alive"? No, because nobody is going to pay to play against AI in a game that was designed to be a PVP milsim and have fun social interaction.

I have not played this game so I can't say, but holdfast/blackwake/etc are all based around community interaction, not mindlessly killing poorly coded AI in a simulator type FPS.
STEAMCHARTS BLACKWAKE UPDATE
Sea of Thieves Steam charts, data, update history. With no set roles, you have complete freedom to approach the world, and other players, however you choose. Worse games than this have recovered from much lower player counts simply by putting themselves in a humble bundle at the dawn of a major update. Sea of Thieves offers the essential pirate experience, from sailing and fighting to exploring and looting everything you need to live the pirate life and become a legend in your own right. Whether it be "giving it away for free" or putting it in a humble bundle or something. Adding bots to the game IS what makes it dead, because that is signing off on giving up on doing ANYTHING to bring players back. I don't consider spending money on a game to play against bots to be a good choice. OP, stay away from the game until the dev, and these boneheaded anti-bot people get their act together. Without having bots, you can kiss this game goodbye. This game will NEVER, and I mean NEVER maintain a strong player base. I get this sort of response from people who think adding Coop online play kills the single player experience so they say no too it which again is stupid. To say you are against something which would keep the game alive so you can keep playing it is simply stupid. It is the only way to save this game from dying. Thing is if no one plays then the game dies no matter if the game is given away for free.Īllowing for Bots to fill in the ranks is the way to go no matter if you like them or not.
STEAMCHARTS BLACKWAKE WINDOWS 10
Pricepoint is what's keeping my friends and I from the game, I'm sure that's the biggest reason for a lot of people. Recommended: OS: Windows 7 64-bit, Windows 8 64-bit, Windows 10 64-bit Processor: i5 6500, AMD FX-8350 Memory: 12 GB RAM Graphics: R9 290, GTX 970 DirectX: Version 11 Network: Broadband Internet connection Storage: 4 GB available space Additional Notes: This is to play the game on High settings at 60FPS1080p resolution. Maybe they'll cut their losses one day and put the game on a huge sale or in a humblebundle or something.

Just seems like this game will meet the same demise as verdun/tannenburg/blackwake/holdfast, and I don't wanna be a part of that again. I don't know many people who would wanna buy the game just to play against bots because of a low player count. | Civ 302:There is talk of bots.It goes like this:Īnother different rando: Ever thought about bots?īots does seem like a kinda cheap fix for a low player count.
